The
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has issued a photo which has been
sent from its Mars Orbiter Mangalyaan . The image shows the Indian subcontinent
and parts of Africa. What is more interesting is it has captured the cyclonic
storm Helen moving towards the coast of Andhra Pradesh.
ISRO
has said that the picture was taken from the Mars Color Camera, carried on board
the Mars Orbiter spacecraft taken on Tuesday at 1.50 p.m. from over 67,975 km
altitude with a resolution of 3.53 km. This is the first attempt of the ISRO
scientists checking the craft for its operational capabilities.
